This was an uncomplicated build: an eight-page microsite built using AS3.0 with XML driven data and limited animations.
It came together quickly and I'm happy with the end result.

House of the Dead - Overkill Poster creator just was awarded the Gold prize in the "Gaming:Online Promotion" category in the Roses Design Awards 2009.
It was designed by Fluid, and developed by me at Skyskraper with the help of Chris Houston.

Site Launch – Fairytale Fights

This is v2 of Fairytale Fights and a more complete and extensive site than v1. It is AS3.0 and XML driven, and uses the GAIA framework. It supports 6 languages and uses video extensively. This game looks like it would be great fun to play and the artwork for the game is brilliant.

Site launch – Moonbeam Films

This site for Moonbeam Films went live last week. It is AS3.0, XML controlled and uses the Gaia framework. It also uses the Google Maps API which is very easy to set up and use.

Site launch – Dissidia: Final Fantasy

Dissidia: Final Fantasy went live this week. It uses the GAIA framework and supports English, French, Italian, Spanish, German and Russian languages. The game looks great and has some amazing artwork!

Vauxhall Comparator

This is a project I worked on a few years ago and forgot about for a while. It took a while for it to go live with the the Vauxhall.co.uk redesign but it is live now.
It is ActionScript2.0 and run by a very large data set, and configured completely via XML.

Overkill Poster Creator – site launch

House of the Dead - Overkill Poster Creator has just launched.
This site is a 'poster creator' (or wallpaper) and enables anyone to design and layout their own poster using an array of incredible assets.
It was an enjoyable build and made all the more easier by the brilliant TransformManager classes availabe from Jack Doyle at http://blog.greensock.com/transformmanageras3/

Once you have added your images to the stage you can position on the stage, scale, rotate, change depths and add various colour filter effects (mono, reverse, silhouette) and also a halftone effect. Thanks to Chris Houston for the halftone effect who will blog about this here soon.

After you are happy with your creation and click 'download' a jpg is created for you to save. The assets used are amazing and great quality so you can get a wallpaper with dimensions of up to 1680x1050 that looks great.

New hosting

sitedaniel.com has just migrated to a new hosting set up at Media Temple.
MT boast of 'one click' WordPress installs and it didn't disappoint. Creating my account and setting up multiple subdomains was very easy. Also installing and importing my WordPress blog from my laptop at home to MT was incredibly easy. I hope that this great service continues!
